Welcome from the Director, Amelia Vitarelli
Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in the My Little Conservatory Music Family! We hope that you and your child join us—we would be truly honored to be one of their first teachers.
Each of our talented and caring instructors is not only a university trained musician, but is equally committed to making you and your young one feel special and valued. We do this through our impeccable customer service and flexible options as well as through the personalized care we give to each child and their family.
Immediately upon joining our studio, your child’s heart will overflow with the joy of music, growing and flourishing at their own perfect pace within our age-appropriate, child-centered curriculum. We will help them blossom into wonderfully creative, intelligent, and genuine people.
My Little Conservatory is a small local studio dedicated to instilling a love of music as well as building a community where each child feels appreciated, confident, and understood. You and your child will be treated like cherished family in our nurturing, inclusive, and comparison-free environment.
Music is something that touches us all. As an accomplished flutist and chamber musician, I soon discovered teaching music was my true calling. My love of music and the ability to pass that appreciation onto others inspired me to open My Little Conservatory. I hope to be able to touch your family’s life through the power and beauty of music.
Have a musical day,
Amelia Vitarelli

Our Story
Amelia Vitarelli is dedicated to sharing her passion for music with young children and to share her love of music with families throughout Silicon Valley. Amelia was introduced to Kindermusik over 20 years ago and she was instantly enthralled by the creative energy of children. After her first Kindermusik Training session in 1999, she taught for Kindermusik for Northern California (which has since ceased). She also taught as a Teaching Aide for the Music School. She left both of these positions to pursue her Masters in Flute Performance from the University of Iowa. Upon her return to the Bay Area, Amelia served as the Director of the Early Childhood Music Program at the Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View, after which she paused her career to raise her own family.
After her youngest child began school, Amelia was eager to begin sharing music with youngsters again. She completed her second round of Kindermusik Training in 2013 and My Little Conservatory was launched in 2014. MLC began with two small classes held in the basement of a local church. The studio quickly grew and Amelia decided to get a permanent home on Meridian Ave. Since this time, the studio has continued to grow and additional administrative and teaching staff were needed to expand the business and reach even more children. Currently, MLC offers 40 weekly Kindermusik Classes and over 120 private lessons each week. It is ranked in the top 1% of Kindermusik Studios worldwide (out of 5000) and is the top ranked studio in California.
Our Student Journey
My Little Conservatory has a beautiful progression of learning from infants through age 10.
We start our musical journey with our Kindermusik for Little Minds program (ages 0-3) which focuses on giving babies and toddlers the cognitive benefits of music and social skills so crucial in the first 3 years of life. Providing children with the gift of music early on creates a strong foundation in their brain and sets them up for future success. When your child nears age 3, they will experience a memorable celebration in class where they graduate up to our Kindermusik for Little Musicians Program.
A voyage of musical discovery, Kindermusik for Little Musicians (ages 3-7), is the continuation of our Kindermusik journey moving from our focus of brain development into a magic journey of musical wonderment. The perfect step between early childhood music classes and private lessons, these classes nurture your child’s emerging musical talents. Through intentional musical play, children develop their singing voices, begin reading music on the staff, and create their own musical compositions. At the end of our Kindermusik journey, a beautiful graduation will celebrate your little one’s transformation into a ‘little musician’.
Our numerous Instrumental and Singing Programs provide your young musician with an imaginative, entertaining musical experience. Our nurturing, skilled instructors customize each lesson to the age and aptitude of your child. Your little one will cultivate their proficiency in instrumental/vocal technique, music theory, ear-training and musically-oriented games. A variety of musical genres including classical, folk, and pop keep your student captivated and intrigued. Our Winter Showcase gives your student valuable performing experience and celebrates each child’s musical accomplishments. Upon the end of 4th grade a beautiful graduation will celebrate your child’s progression into a full musician.
Please note that our Little Strings and Pre-Band & Pre-Orchestra programs are set to launch in Fall 2022.
